Specialists of the N.E.Zhukovsky Central Institute of Aerohydrodynamics (TsAGI) developed a technology platform (a set of interrelated technologies) of the accessible light multipurpose aircraft (LMA) with advanced deployment capabilities.
The new platform can be used for the creation of a promising aircraft for 9, 13 and 19 passengers which must meet the requirements of the Russian market of small aircrafts and have competitiveness on the world stage. According to the estimations of FSUE "State Research Institute of Civil Aviation", in the case of its creation, a version of the new light aircraft with wheeled chassis will ensure the 18-45 percent reduction in the cost of transportations compared to An-2, L-410UVP-E and foreign counterparts. This allows to call the LMA family the next-generation aircrafts. The economic efficiency of the light aircrafts with air cushion will also be positive.
