On March 20 One-Pillar Chamber of the Patriarch’s Palace in Moscow Kremlin will open an exhibition about the Grand Duke of all Russia Ivan III who united Russian lands around Moscow that became the center of the state.
The exposition will unfold for visitors the story of his most significant acts: along with integration of lands, it was acceptance of power from Byzantine emperors and confirmation of independence of the Russian church. Rare and valuable exhibits will be presented at the exhibition.
Objective evidences of the epoch of reign of Ivan III are the Kremlin monuments. It is known that his decree brought to Moscow the best Italian masters, who were engaged in reorganization of the Kremlin.
The Grand Duke Ivan III exhibition will run till July 14.
