Russia will re-open its borders for Georgian wine and liquor, says the nation’s chief hygiene inspector.
Following on-site inspections, 37 wineries and liquor producers have been allowed to send their products for registration in the Russian Federation.
If everything goes according to plan, Russians will get a taste of Georgian wine for the first time since 2006, when Russian authorities slapped a ban on Georgian producers citing poor quality.
