Famous Russian Actor Tragically Died

Famous Russian actor Andrey Panin was found dead in his Moscow apartment. According to the preliminary investigation he probably fell and hit his head on the floor.

      According to the Russian media, Panin's relatives couldn't find him for four days. At last his body with an opened head injury was found in his flat by one of his friends. There were no any signs of fight or robbery.

      Andrey Panin was a famous theatre, movie and series actor. He also tried himself in a film directing. Before becoming a screen regular, Panin worked as a stage actor at the Minusinsky theatre in Kemerovo, then went on to further his education as an actor, graduating from Moscow's legendary MKhAT in 1991 and taking up residence at the MKhAT Chekhov theatre.

      All-Russian fame came to Panin after the brilliant role of a corrupt police officer in a very popular Russian series "The Brigade: Law of Lawless" (2002). Then he successfully played in series "Crime and Punishment" (2007), "Kamenskaya" (2008, 2011) and in films "Zhmurky" (2008), "Shadowboxing" (2005), "The Crew" (2010), "Burnt by the Sun 2" (2010), "Generation P" (2011), "Vysotsky: Thank You for Being" (2011) and many others. His last role was Dr. Watson in a Russian Sherlock Holmes series, which are expected to be released in 2013.
