Museum of Small National Toy has been opened in the regional child and junior library of the city of Tomsk.

      The collection presents more than sixty exhibits, in particular dolls and toys from different regions of Russia. Along with a permanent exhibition the curators intend to hold game classes and workshops for making national toys.

      The idea of creating the Museum of Small National Toy came up two years ago. It was related to opening of the Sodruzhestvo Center in Tomsk regional child and junior library in 2010. Gifts of readers and partners became the first exhibits. Before foundation of the permanent show the exhibits were displayed on stands and in the on-screen gallery in the website of Tomsk regional child and junior library.
