Brodsky Museum to be Founded in Arkhangelsk Region
Joseph Brodsky

The government of the Arkhangelsk Region has purchased the house, in which Joseph Brodsky cspent his exile in the Konosh District.

So far Norinsky Brodsky Museum is settled in a neighbouring house. The building of Konosh Museum of Local Lore houses an exposition dedicated to Joseph Brodsky. An attempt to recreate the interior of his room in exile was made in the Central Regional Library.

Let's remind, from April 1964 till September 1965 Joseph Brodsky was in exile in the Norinskaya Village (of the Konosh District). Subsequently the poet remembered this time as one of the happiest periods in his life.
