A museum complex dedicated to the Don writer and publicist Anatoly Kalinin will be opened in Pukhlyakovsky Farm in the Rostov Region in 2016.
The museum opening ceremony will be timed to the 100th anniversary since the birth of the well-known writer.
The Kalinin Museum will be settled down next to his house estate; 17 decares of land have already been redeemed for the museum, the administration of the region informs. The museum will include an ethnographic corner with compositions based on Kalinin’s works.
Anatoly Veniaminovich Kalinin was a writer and publicist, author of stories, poems, and short stories. A few movies were shot and an opera was staged after his novel Gipsy.
Anatoly Kalinin was born in Kamenskaya Settlement (nowadays the town of Kamensk-Shakhtinsky) and died on June 12, 2008 in the Pukhlyakovsky Farm.
