Russia has slid in the biannual global rating of traveling and tourism put together by the World Economic Forum.
Compared to 2011, Russia dropped 4 basis points to end on the 63rd place.
Led by Switzerland, Germany, Austria and Spain, the Travel & Tourism Competitiveness Report praises Russia’s rich nature and culture while deploring undeveloped infrastructure and difficulties in accessing tourist sites.
The ranking weighs countries’ appeal by 14 criteria, including level of security, transport infrastructure, price, business climate, human, cultural and natural resources.
