The legendary Russian rock band Aquarium is going to renew its lineup this spring.
In summer the band will participate in traditional music festivals, and then will start working on its new album. The band will not cease to exist.
Earlier the band’s frontman Boris Grebenshchikov announced that Aquarium would cease in its present lineup. Journalists regarded these words as a statement on the band disintegration; however its director Maxim Lande specified that it was a matter of a short vacation. Aquarium’s leader and soloist Boris Grebenshchikov declared that his words meant not leaving the stage, but the end of his communication with journalists. He explained that he intended to concentrate on his creativity.
Aquarium is one of the most famous rock bands in Russia. It was founded in 1972. Within over 40 years of its existence Aquarium has released more than 30 albums.
