A large German low-cost airline, “Germanwings”, a subsidiary of “Lufthansa”, will connect Saint-Petersburg with Hamburg, Dusseldorf and Berlin in the nearest time.
The parent company, presently making flights Saint-Petersburg-Dusseldorf, is going to stop flying this route. Direct flights to Berlin from Saint-Petersburg are being made by “Air Berlin” and “Russia”, but there is still no direct flight Saint-Petersburg-Hamburg. “Germanwings” is going to start the flights this year in autumn. The carrier will offer three tariffs – Basic, Smart and Best. The base rate is 33 Euro. However the actual ticket price will be much higher because of airport and other fees.
