Animation Kin-dza-dza Goes on General Release

The longed-for animated film Ku! Kin-dza-dza by the eminent film director Georgi Daneliya goes on general release on April 11, 2013.

Georgi Daneliya started his work on the animation version of the popular movie Kin-dza-dza (1986) in 2005, but it was not easy because of financial problems.

The animation Ku! Kin-dza-dza is neither a sequel nor a remake – it is rather a work inspired by the old movie: the scene of the story is set in modern days.

Georgi Daneliya is the art director of the project, one of the scriptwriters and the production director jointly with Tatyana Ilyina.

The First Channel of Russian TV is a co-producer of the animation and thus carries out a first-rate advertising support.
