Previously Fedyukin said that the first competition on the program of attracting young scientists and postdocs from abroad for temporary posts in Russia conceived within the framework of the federal target program (FTP) "Scientific and scientific-pedagogical human resources of innovative Russia" for the period of 2014-2020, could take place this autumn.

Postdocs in Western countries are the young researchers with a Doctor`s degree (Ph.D., the equivalent of Russian Candidate of Science) taking by competition a temporary position in any higher education institution. After two or three years on a postdoc`s post a young scientist can apply for a permanent position. The new project is aimed at providing the working places in Russia for young talented specialists from abroad.
