The Embassy of Italy in Russia continues the tradition of exhibitions of one painting.
Masterpieces by Raphael, Botticelli, and Bellini have already visited Moscow. Now is the turn of Andrea Doria's Portrait as Neptune by Agnolo Bronzino (1503-1572).
Agnolo Bronzino was one of the gifted followers of Michelangelo, whose style he blended with the Venetian one. However, the artist gained real glory with his portraits first of all.
The painting will be exhibited in the Pushkin Fine Arts Museum in Moscow from March 25 to April 21.
