Scientific Troops May Appear in the Russian Army

The Ministry of Defense is considering the establishment of  "scientific troops" including talented students who will perform scientific and technical works for the military department.

The troops will employ the talented guys who, without leaving the university walls, will do the works needed by the Defense Ministry together with their teachers. "We are ready to finance research and development activities of such groups, but we also have the right to expect them to provide clear results, not fantasies. You are the first in line" - Shoigu said at the meeting with the teachers and students of the Moscow State Technical University named after Bauman.
