Device That Can Replace Flash Cards Is Developed

The scientists from MIPT developed devices that may replace conventional flash cards in the future. The question is the functional elements of resistive memory which can replace the USB sticks familiar to all of us. The device is actually simple, a sort of "layer cake": metal - insulator - metal, but it is superior in performance to a usual flash card. Now these devices are of no particular interest for the end user, because too small amount of data can be recorded on them. However, the fact has been proved that, in principle, this problem can be solved. And not just in theory (there are a lot of scientific papers on this topic), but also experimentally.
