The Newest Russian Ka-62 Helicopter at HeliExpo

The Russian helicopter-building holding "Helicopters of Russia" presented the new Ka-62 helicopter to the participants of the international exhibition "HeliExpo-2013" in Las Vegas.


The start of the mass production of Ka-62 is scheduled for 2015. The Brazilian airline company "Atlas Taxi Aereo" already placed an order for seven such machines. The upgraded multipurpose helicopter Mi-171A2 built on the most massive platform in the world - Mi-8/17 - also attracted public interest. Its development was carried out according to the wishes of Mi-8/17 operators and on the basis of the experience of operating these machines in different climatic conditions, above the sea and various landscapes.


The annual exhibition in Las Vegas brought together 650 helicopter manufacturers, it involved more than 20 thousand professionals from around the world.
