A Unique Tour of the Tundra Was Created in Arkhangelsk

The travel company "Intourist-Arkhangelsk" brought a new product to the market. This is the unique tour "The Wintering of Kaninsky Herders". This tourist product gives the tourists the opportunity to learn about the traditions of the reindeer herder culture of the Nenets people and see the life of indigenous people of the European North of Russia in the winter.


      

The travel lasts for 5 days, and the number of people in the groups is presumed to be up to 8 people. Besides, the travelers should be ready for long trips and the conditions of the North. The travel starts in Arkhangelsk. The group leaves to Sovpolye by cars and is on the way for about 6-7 hours. On the way the tourists will stop in Belogorie near Pinega hills and in the ancient settlement of Pinega. The final destination - Sovpolye - offers the travelers the scheduled dinner and preparation for snowmobile riding. Within the frame of the tour the guests will spend a whole day in the Nenets camp where they will get acquainted with the peculiarities of life in Kaninsky tundra, will see reindeer racing and take a ride through the tundra with the wind on their faces.
