The regional government has confirmed the plans of the Federal Air Transport Agency to complete the modernization of the international airport of Lipetsk in 2013. 

The completion of the reconstruction of the airport in Lipetsk was previously scheduled only for 2015, but due to the intensification of work and the financing the process will be completed already by the end of 2013. As a result, this airfield facility provided with new equipment and special machinery will be one of the most modern in the Central Federal District, and will be ready to accept the most part of types of airliners.
