The Federal Agency for Tourism of Russia published the data of the Federal State Statistics Service on the inflow and outflow of the citizens between Russia and the European Union. Thus, the leader of the Russian outbound travel in relation to the EU last year and a year ago was Finland.
The country was visited by 5,118,780 people. The growth rate was 16%. The second place was taken by Estonia - 1,825,923 (+9%), the third - by Germany visited by 1,385,363 tourists during last year which was 5% more than a year ago. Poland also entered the top five- 1,014,622 people. This country has shown a tremendous growth compared to the year before last year - 48%. Spain occupies the fifth position in the list - 990 637 with the growth of 26%. The second part of "the top ten" is taken by Lithuania - 910 511 (+20%), Greece - 834 355 (+17%), Italy - 794 323 (+8%), Czech Republic - 505 163 (+9%) and Cyprus - 477,106 (+25%).
The total amount of 47,812,920 people went from Russia to the EU in 2012, which is 9% more than the amount of outbound tourists in 2011.
