Billionaire Suleiman Kerimov will be the fourth big figure to step down as senator as the upper house of the Russian parliament is getting ready to pass the bill forbidding officials and members of the parliament from having foreign assets.
According to the 2011 declaration, Kerimov owns 5 percent in Altitude, Bermudas, and 20 percent in Aniketa Investments Limited, Cyprus.
Sources quoted by Izvestia daily say that Kerimov wanted to find a way out while the Kremlin pressed him to choose between foreign assets and seat in the Federation Council.
Suleiman Kerimov's net worth is of $7.8 Billion
Earlier, resignations were handed in by Nikolay Olshansky, from the Voronezh Region, Boris Shpigel, from the Penza Region, and Vitaly Malkin, from Republic of Buryatia, who quit over rumours of his Israeli citizenship.
