Yaroslavl eager to set Direct flights to China to attract more tourists

By 2015 the government of the Yaroslavl region intends to set up a direct air connection with China. The flights will be organized from the airport Tunoshna, reports RIA News referring to the Regional Agency on Tourism.

To start operating direct flights to and back from China, the airport should get the status of international passenger airport.

To get the necessary status there should be built a terminal, the designing of which is planned for 2013. If financed, it could be completed by 2015.

China is of a great interest for the Yaroslavl tourist industry. Currently Chinese, Japanese and Korean are regular gests to the region.

The tourists from France, Germany and the USA are the top three nations visiting Yaroslavl.
