Peter Riess Exhibition to be Held in Moscow

The Pop/off/art Gallery in Moscow will present an exhibition of the German artist and sculptor Peter Riess.

The project of the post-minimalist Peter Riess includes paintings, sculptural works and art objects of 2011. Here the hyperrealism of objects (for example, Cover my invincibility — something covered in black fabric) and canvasses reminding of roughly executed old engravings with images of human faces and figures, faces the “sterility” of geometrical abstract compositions, organic materials (including skeletons of animals) confront polymers, and the modern artist reminds of a medical faculty graduate.

The exhibition runs from April 10 to May 15.
