Russian ISP Akado plans to launch its broadband services in South Africa and Mozambique, reports Vedomosti. Russian company Renova, the controlling shareholder of Akado, signed a letter of intent on the issue with the operator Afritel.
In April 2013 Akado is to work out the business plan, a form of cooperation with the African operator, to define the size of investments, said the President of Akado Viktor Koresh to The Vedomosti. The volume of investments and the possible share of Akado or Renova in the new Southern operator have not been announced.
