Russian former billionaire Sergei Polonsky has been released from a jail in Cambodia after three months of detention.
Polonsky's lawyer Alexander Dobrovinsky said Polonsky was released on $50,000 bail, but he still must remain in the country. He also must check in at a police station once a month and reside in a place specified by a court judge. His case will be probably closed in the near future, as the aggrieved party has no claims to Polonsky anymore.
Polonsky, the former head of the Mirax Group construction firm, was detained together with two Russian friends by Cambodian police while celebrating New Year, in connection with an alleged attack on the six-man crew of a boat that had reportedly carried the Russians from an island to the Cambodian mainland.
