Baikal-Amur Mainline and Great Soviet Constructions exhibition displaying over 40 canvasses of Soviet painting since the 1930s has been opened in the exhibition center of the East European Antiquarian House.
All the works presented at the exhibition will be available for sale at the auction on April 27. For example, Mikhail Manyukov's painting Collective-Farm Hut Laboratory created in 1940 has been appraised at over 6 million rubles.
Besides, the Antiquarian House has opened another preauction exhibition of Soviet painting and sculpture of the early 1930s. This exposition is dedicated to sports and is titled Towards the Olympic Games. A number of canvasses from the exhibition can be purchased at the auction on April 27. Altogether the auction will offer 102 lots with the total estimate making 55 million rubles.
