Monument to Peter I and Alexander Menshikov to Appear in Chaplygin

For its 375th anniversary the regional center of Chaplygin will acquire a new sight.

      In the town gardens there will appear a monument to the founders of Ranenburg – namely, Peter I and Alexander Menshikov.


      
Plates with information on the conservation status of buildings and time of their construction will be placed on one and a half tens of ancient constructions of Chaplygin. Among them there is Trinity Cathedral, a complex of malls, the house of poet Radin, the mansion of merchant Raspopov, etc.

      After restoration the facades of architectural monuments of Chaplygin will regain their original design.
