The Open Arts Festival Cherry Wood and the Moscow Museum of Modern Art present the exhibition Joan Miro. Images to be opened from April 26.
The exhibition is timed to the 120th anniversary since the birth of the world famous Spanish artist and sculptor Joan Miro, the forefather of modern avant-garde , one of the leaders of abstract and surrealistic trends in the 20th century art.
Creativity of Joan Miro — the artist who in the XX century changed stereotypes of art ideation and became a revolutionary in the realm of art will be for the first time presented in Russia on such a large scale. The exposition presents works created by the artist for the last 30 years of his life — about 200 paintings, 14 sculptures, drawings, book illustrations, photos and graphic art from collection of the El Pilar and Joan Miro Foundation in Majorca.
The exhibition Joan Miro. Images will occupy the entire space of the Moscow Museum of Modern Art at the address 10, Gogolevsky Boulevard.
The exhibition will run till June 9, 2013.
