Japanese Artist Chiharu Shiota to Weave Woolen Web in Arena

April 23 will see the opening of the exhibition of the Japanese artist Chiharu Shiota in Arena, Moscow. 

      The Japanese artist has selected 40 people together with whom she spins a web of 225 kilometers of threads. 

      Chiharu Shiota has named her technique “drawing in the air”. For her exhibition she will be provided with an improvised room, where 10 white dresses will be hanged out. Volunteers are needed “to enlace” the space.

      It will take nine days to create the installation, and on three of them volunteers and the artist will be working in the face of the viewers. 

      The exhibition will run till May 19.
