Alisher Usmanov, the owner of Metalloinvest metals giant and a major shareholder in London's Arsenal Football Club, has topped the Sunday Times Rich List in 2013. His fortune is estimated at 13.3 billion British pounds ($20.3 billion).
Usmanov, 59, ousted Indian-born steel magnate Lakshmi Mittal, who spent previous eight years at the top of the list. Mittal is currently on the fourth place with a fortune of 10 billion pounds ($15.2 bln).
Second place in the list is occupied by Russian-born media mogul Len Blavatnik with his wealth of 11 billion pounds ($16.8 billion) this year.
Another Russian tycoon, Chelsea football club owner Roman Abramovich, has moved down from third to fifth place this year with his fortune shrinking to 9.3 bln pounds ($14.2 bln).
Besides British citizens, the list published by British national newspaper The Sunday Times includes individuals and families born overseas but who predominantly reside in Britain.
