Russian Tourists Top 5 Spenders

Russian tourists are fifth biggest spenders in the world, with total expenses amounting to $43 billion.

      Russia edged up two spots in the official rating by UNWTO as compared to 2011.

      The Chinese travelers are leading the ranking, followed by tourists from Germany and the US.

      In 2012, 15.3 million tourists spent their vacation abroad, up 5.8 percent against the 2011 data. The most popular destinations include Turkey, Egypt, China, and Thailand.
