Mikhaylovskoye Museum Reserve to Become One of UNESCO Monuments

A.S. Pushkin State Memorial Historical-Literary and Natural-Landscape Estate Mikhaylovskoye is developing the plan of measures for the reserve to be included in the list of UNESCO world cultural heritage sites.

      The work for registering the state memorial estate as one of the UNESCO monuments is carried out in cooperation with competent Russian scientific and public organizations. This document has to be submitted for discussion and approval by an academic council by November 20. 

      Such a decision was made following the results of the councils first meeting, during which ways of the museum further development, possibilities of improving the concept of development of the Pushkin Memorial Estate and preparation for the 100th anniversary of Mikhaylovskoye in 2022 were discussed.
