The Modern History of the Ural Nations

The modern history of the nations inhabiting Ural was presented in Yekaterinburg.


 Within the framework of Sochi 2014 Cultural Olympiad the exhibition project Palette of nations inhabiting Urals was opened in Yekaterinburg. It revealed the secrets of a peaceful life of 140 nations inhabiting together the Middle Ural. The opening day took place in the Department of History and Archaeology of Sverdlovsk Regional Local Lore Museum.


The display presents  national costumes, arts and crafts, paintings, musical instruments and sacred objects. National cuisine was also exhibited. The opening of the event became a real common festival. To the strains of the folk tunes of Ural national societies visitors were treated with traditional dishes.
