Altai State Pedagogical Academy presented the award pin called “Honorary tourist of Altai Territory”. This award is a hallmark of the tourists who enjoy travelling in Altai. The project includes the regions of Altai Territory and Republic of Altai.

There are no analogs of such regional award pins in Russia. It was established to support the development of active tourism in the mountainous areas of Altai Territory and Republic of Altai. It is also a commemorative award for recreational athletes. The award pin is given to the tourists engaged in the active forms of tourism (hiking, rafting, equine tourism, trekking, pot-holing, cyclotourism or combined tours, caravanning or prolonged excursions and sightseeing tours.) It can be given both to amateurs and professionals (instructors and sport tourists).
