The museum of the great Russian fairy tale writer Stepan Pisakhov (1879-1960) in Arkhangelsk will resume its work in 2014.

The 19th century architecture monument “Trade Building of Merchant A.N. Butorov”, which used to house the museum, was closed more than a year ago because of a collapse threat.

The museum was founded in 2008. However, in 2012 its walls got some cracks, because the larch wooden base of the building did not sustain loading due to disturbance of ground water level and so it had to be closed for accident-prevention works. Now the repair is coming to an end, but preparation of the new museum exposition requires some more time.
