The construction of a new complex of the Museum of the World Ocean in Kaliningrad will start the next spring. The total estimated cost of the construction is two billion roubles. The funds for the work are granted within the federal program The Culture of Russia (2012-2018). Recently, there was a presentation of the construction project for the second and third building stages of the museum complex, the exhibition building Planet Ocean and a new administrative and service building. Within a few years, according to the plans, a huge building in the form of globe will be constructed. There will be the exploratorium, aquariums, a cinema, a planetarium, a convention hall, art labs, exhibition halls, a gift shop, SPA and a cafe. The designers claim that currently there are no analogues of this design in the whole world. The Web site of the museum will be created soon.
