«Krasnoyarskstat» has published the annual data about the city-on-Yenisei population size. Krasnoyarsk population for the 1st of January, 2013 is 1 million 16 thousand 385 people. During a year the population size has increased for more than 19 thousand people or by 2%.

General population increase was formed by 82% owing to migratory increase, and by 18%  owing to natural population increase. It’s possible to consider that Krasnoyarsk has officially confirmed its status of the Million City. In 2012 more than 14 thousand children were born in Krasnoyarsk, that is 10% more than last year. The first data about population size was published in 1897. Till this year this number has increased in 36 times. According to the latest census of 2010, 973 thousand 826 people were fixed in the capital of Krasnoyarsk Territory.
