A ship with brick freight of allegedly 16th-17th centuries has been found at Volkhov river bed in Veliky Novgorod.

Summing up results of an underwater expedition, the research associate of Archeology Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences Ayvar Stepanov has noted that ceramic and bone items, fishing tackles, needles, coins, axes and a bronze icon have been discovered on the ship.
