The monument to the composer Aleksandrov was erected in Moscow. The ceremony of unveiling of the memorial to Aleksandr Aleksandrov, the composer and conductor, the author of the national anthem and the founder of Krasnoznamenny song-and-dance company of the armed forces, took place at Zemledelchesy avenue in Moscow.
130 years passed from the birth date of Aleksandrov — he was born in the 1883. In the 1943 he had composed the melody that in a year became the national anthem of the USSR and from the 2000 has been Russian anthem. The monument of the composer was made by the sculptor Aleksandr Taratinov and the architect Michail Korsi. It was erected in the public garden directly in front of the building where nowadays the song-and-dance company of Aleksandrov works.
