Sverdlovsk Region Will Offer Mineralogical Tourism

In the framework of new brand "Bolshoi Ural (Ural the Great)" Sverdlovsk region intends to exploit mineralogical tourism. Local travel companies have already developed a number of attractive products aimed to the adventurous people, who want to experience treasure-hunting including gold mining. 


      

Guests will explore the process and the history of mining; they will have the opportunity to fell themselves as “miners”. However, in the case of a successful found, the gems will be returned to the state. These are the statutes of the law in the Russian Federation. But the so-called “stone of balance” - beryl is allowed to take.


      

Sverdlovsk authorities believe that this type of tourism should be a hallmark of the area.
