The governor of the Tula Region has come out on top of the list of the richest officials in Russia.
With more than RUR 1.2 billion earned by Vladimir Gruzdev's family in 2012, he fared much better than vice-premier Igor Shuvalov, whose family income totaled just RUR 448 million last year.
However, the 2012 revenues of the founder of the Sedmoy Kontinent retail chain were significantly lower, largely due to a purchase of multiple apartments.
