Comic Book Festival KomMissia Starts in Moscow

The 12th Moscow International Festival of Graphic Stories KomMissia will be held from May 1 to May 10 with support of the Comics Center and visual culture of the Russian State Library for Youth.

      This year visitors of KomMissia will have a chance to communicate with artists from Norway, France, Israel, Kazakhstan and Russia, of course. Lectures and workshops for artists and all those interested in visual art, will be held from May 1 to May 5, and on May 10 fans of Japanese comics will enjoy Manga Day with costume play and master classes by genre experts.

      Among the festival guests one should mention Norwegian artists, namely Oystein Runde, Ida Margrethe Neverdahl, Hakon Aasnes, Lene Ask, Tor Erling, Kim Holm, Steffen Kverneland, Torbjorn Lien, Arild Midthun, and Oystein Runde. In addition, the well-known Belgian artist Benoit Sokal will also take part in the festival.
