Russia’s richest billionaire, Alisher Usmanov, bought a 100 million worth of Apple shares.

In an interview with Bloomberg, he voiced his belief in the technology sector and in post-Jobs Apple.

He noted the recent $100 billion slump in the capitalization of the iPhone and iPad maker was a clear signal for him to jump in.

For Western investors he will always be the man who made a 10-fold return on his investment in Facebook.

In Russia, he controls Metalloinvest, Megafon, the country’s second-largest wireless carrier, Group, and Russia’s Facebook-like social network, Vkontakte.
