Milcho Manchevski Exhibition Opened in Moscow

The state Gallery on Solyanka has opened the exhibition Milcho Manchevski. Five Drops of Dream.

      It is a photographic project consisting of 22 pentaptychs, each of them covering a ten-year period of shootings and broad geography from Asia to America. The structure of these compositions refers us to similar features of Manchevski’s work in cinema, where it moves characters in time and space.

      Manchevski’s movies are winners of over 40 international awards. They are included into the curriculum of several universities and were subjects of two scientific conferences (in Florence and Leipzig). Before the Rain (1994) is included into the list of 1000 best movies according to The New York Times version.

      His two books on photography - Street and Five Drops of Dream – have been published.

      The exhibition will run till June 23.
