6.05.2013 23:59

Honey will the be the first product that will mark the re-opening of bilateral trade ties between Russia and Georgia, undermined during Mikhail Saakashvili's presidency and completely destroyed after the South Ossetian military conflict in 2008.

However, due to strong domestic competition, honey may be a difficult product to market here in Russia.

Mineral water and wine are expected to follow soon, with the producers in the final stages of negotiations with the Russian authorities.
