The FotoLoft gallery and the Moscow House of Photography represent a personal exhibition of the Russian photographer Evgeny Kondakov.
Revolution in Nature is a visual story of how a Soviet person was turning into a Post-Soviet person. Most of the photos were made by the author in “the dashing 1990s”, which became an alive myth of the present. “New Russians”, “Russian mafia”, “mayhem” – these in many respects mythical concepts from the 1990s are vividly reflected today in literature and national folklore, cinema and TV series.
Since the early 1990s the photographer has been trying to understand, whether there was actually a sexual revolution in Russia - or was it also just one of the myths of the epoch of changes?
The exhibition will take place from May 18 to June 17.
