FC Spartak moved back to the top 5 group after beating FC Krasnodar 1-0 in an away game.
Coached Valery Karpin didn’t mind the lackluster performance of his team lambasted by pundits, referring to the three points gained just one match before the season end.
Spartak are currently fourth with 48 points, just 2 points behind Anzhi Makhachkala, but Anzhi have two more games to play, which means that Spartak’s best luck would be to stay where they are today, securing a berth in Europa League.
