Derzhavin's Memorial Estate in St. Petersburg opens the exhibition The Pushkins Kept Company with Tsars.

Replete with unique documentary and art materials, works of art and subjects of the 17th-20th centuries, the exhibition fascinatingly tells about relationship of two old Russian families – the Pushkins and the Romanovs – in different spheres of life: political, public, cultural, and personal ones.

A few large museums and archives of Russia are taking part in the exhibition, which is based on exhibits from collections of the A.S. Pushkin Museum.

The exhibition runs in Derzhavin's Memorial Eestate from May 24 to June 10.
