Going on a Moscow bus will soon stop being a dull and scary thing to do - a special podcast will tell passengers about the buildings and sights seen from the window.
The plan is to have an audioguide playing along the route of the Moscow overground transport - buses, trolleybuses, and trams. The creators envisage telling the passengers about the monuments and historical figures and events, somehow connected with the route. So, for example, a trolleybus no. 16 that goes past the Kremlin wall and St. Basil's Cathedral might play the story of the Kremlin and the cathedral.
At the moment, the idea is still only being entertained, as the Moscow public transport authority, Mosgortrans, is yet to figure out how to incorporate the podcast into regular bus stop announcements, so as not to distract passengers from their journey.
