No Visa to Russia

Foreign sportsmen will be allowed to come to Russia without visas.

A visa-free mode for coming to Russia is introduced for sportsmen, their trainers, heads of teams and members of official foreign delegation and also judges in connection with the international sport competitions. As a rule distribution of visas for sportsmen, members of delegations and accredited journalists is simplified for the period of big international competitions. Earlier the Russian Federation cancelled visas for guest of competitions too – in 2008, when “Chelsea” and “Manchester United” played at the stadium “Luzhniki” in the final of the Champions League, British voters could come to Russia by the ticket only. Since the 25-th of June till the 25-th of July foreign participants of Student Games in Kazan will have the opportunity to come and leave Russia without visas. It will be enough just to have identity papers and an accredited certificate of the Student Games direction.
