On May 29 the Tsaritsyno memorial estate will open the exhibition 18th Century on Screen: Catherine II and Friedrich II dedicated to film images of the Russian empress and the Prussian king.
The choice of Tsaritsyno for the exhibition is not accidental: as it is known, the palace was expected to become the residence of Catherine II, however this project was not destined to be implemented.
The exposition will be arranged in the so-called Grain House, which was based on the architect Vasily Bazhenov’s project for placement of supply duties.
The exhibition prepared in honor of the Year of German in Russia presents over 900 exhibits.
The exhibition will run till November 3.
